My Spiritual Awakening: At the early age of four, after accepting a marriage proposal (complete with an engagement ring) from the little boy who lived across the street, I couldn’t wait to tell all my friends at Sunday School. My teacher got wind of the story and told me I couldn’t marry him because he was going to hell! I didn’t have any idea what being Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, or Muslim even meant. All I knew was that I loved that little boy with all my heart and that something wasn’t right. Unbeknownst to me at the time, my Spiritual Journey had just begun.
